Brass & Bristle opened in 2019, started by Mac after a decade behind the chair across Missouri. It was the shop he always wanted to work in — no rushed cuts, no upsell games, just skilled barbers, good conversation, and a finish that holds up.
The shop serves downtown Columbia, Mizzou students and faculty, and anyone who'd rather book a barber than gamble on one. Old-school craft, modern edge — that's the whole idea.
